During my study at the 'HTS voor de confectie-industrie, Mr. Koetsier' (Amsterdam Fashion Institute | Fashion and Textile Technologies) I did an internship at the styling agency of Günther Frank. I enjoyed this so much that I continued working at this agency after my graduation.
My first studio was located in the Vondelkerk building in Amsterdam.
From the beginning I organized trend presentations in my own name for professionals in the industry.
Hosted at the Vondelkerk building or in the Film Museum that was just a stone's throw away from my studio.
Below you find a number of pages from the trend books that were published as a result of these presentations.
A number of pages out of forecasts for fabric design.
I worked with a number of companies to develop collections. Such as men's fashion for C&A and De Bijenkorf. Finishes of leather for Stahl Holland. For many years I also developed the hair fashion collection for DA drogisten.
In addition to the trend presentations that I organized in my own name, I got the opportunity to participate in mostly international meetings of fashion institutes, trade fairs and publishers. Those are all institutes that look for a vision on trends that influence the design of products a number of years before products are sold on the market.
For International Color Authority I worked at the menswear department.
At 'Stichting Artemis' (school for fashion styling and design), I taught fashion and interior stylists in the field of forecasting.
My practice was included as a behind the scene example in a LOI's training program.
